Burgundy is synonymous with Pinot Noir and Bouchard Pere & Fils have been making wine in this illustrious region since 1731. This entry level Pinot Noir offers a curious nose of menthol, barnyard, forest floor, and mushroom aromas. Dig a little deeper and you’ll find muted hints of red cherry fruit. The latest vintage of our extraordinary blend enchants the nose with a refreshing bouquet of succulent fruit and delicate florals, opening with juicy honeydew melon, sweet white peach, and ripe green plum touched with hints of spiced white tea and soft apple blossom. In 1972, Bodegas LAN was founded and named after the initials of the 3 provinces in the Rioja Designation of Origin of Spain: La Rioja; Alava; Navarra. Bodegas LAN is located in the heart of Rioja Alta.  The vineyard is situated in a breathtaking portion of the River Ebro. The vineyard occupies an area in which the climate, river and soil endow already exceptional grapes with a unique personality.

"Fresh and balanced, this red brims with cherry, spice and licorice, with light, firm tannins and vibrant acidity. The texture is generous yet delicate. Not heavy, but vivacious. Drink now through 2014. 200,000 cases made." – 90 Pts from Wine Spectator.

On the nose it smells of sour cherries, herbs, forest undergrowth, mulch, and mushrooms. It’s palate delivers herbal and rustic qualities, with enough tannin to help it pair well with hearty food. It is dry, well-balanced and showing great development. Cold starters, pasta and cheeses will pair exceptionally well with this wine.
