Jules Taylor Sauvignon Blanc | Marlborough, New Zealand
Marlborough is the region that put the distinctive summery grassiness of the New Zealand style Sauvignon Blanc on the world map. Marlborough is Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc is Jules Taylor's obsession. She likes the unique expression of the region. She likes its vibrancy. She likes drinking it. And she loves making it. The Jules Taylor Sauvignon Blanc won the Champion Sauvignon Blanc trophy at the Air New Zealand wine awards in 2007, and again, in 2010.
The 2012 Sauvignon Blanc opens with a burst of bright citrus and the unmistakable aroma of capsicum. Elderflower and currant aromas are also present. It has a radiant light yellow hue, tinged with green and the dominant flavours are fresh and herbal layered over ripe tropical fruit & citrus notes. A fine line of acid ensures the flavours are focussed and leads to a delicate yet persistent finish with underlying mineral tones. $16.00
Baracchi Winery | O'Lillo | Tuscany I.G.T.
Baracchi Winery's O'Lillo Supertuscan hails from the hills outside Cortona in southern Tuscany. "Supertuscan" refers to a style of Italian red wine made in the region of Tuscany from a blend of both autochthonous and non-autochthonous grape varieties. In this case, O'Lillo is made with 25% Sangiovese, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, and 25% Syrah.
The wine is macerated in conical tanks for 22 days; 6 months in stainless steel followed by 3 months in bottle. Ruby red in color, traditional in its complexity, roundness, elegance, yet modern in its intense fruitiness, accessibility, and soft tannins. You'll find aromas and flavors of black fruit and roast coffee. $19.99
Mirth Chardonnay | Corvidae Wine Co.
Corvidae is the Latin name for the family of birds that includes the Crow, Raven, Jay and Magpie. These "dark" birds are everywhere in the vineyards of Eastern Washington. Their reputation as crafty, adaptable, and somewhat dubious characters is a fitting icon for the suspiciously terrific value wines from this region. The geology and climate here yields rich, complex fruit, with luscious fragrance and bright acidity.
Mirth Chardonnay is 100% stainless steel fermented and is a clean, vibrant Chardonnay. Flavors of golden delicious apples, Meyer lemon and just a hint of ripe tropical fruit marry together beautifully while a balanced acidity gives it a bright clean finish.
Pair this refreshing Chardonnay with a chanterelle herb frittata, lemon roasted chicken, or a mango avocado and smoked salmon salad (yum!). $12.99
Palladino Barbera d'Alba 'Superiore' D.O.C.

Barbera d'Alba is ideal alongside lighter fare, especially dishes such as pasta, stewed chicken, barbequed dishes, veal, grilled lamb, and tomato sauces.
The Barbera d'Alba Superiore DOC from Palladino is made with 100% Barbera grapes, fermented from 15 to 16 days at a controlled temperature. The must is stirred 3 times a day starting the wine making process. In March the wines is placed in big barrels of Slavonia oak for a period of 12 months. $15.99

2012 Copain Rosé
Copain winery is perched on a hill overlooking the serenely beautiful Russian River Valley. Wells Guthrie, Copain's winemaker, discovered early on that his taste in wine gravitated toward Europe in general and France's Rhône Valley in particular. So much so, he picked up and moved with his new bride to the region to learn from the best. For two years, Wells apprenticed for esteemed winemaker and living legend Michel Chapoutier in France's Rhone Valley. At Copain, he creates wines that are firmly rooted in California, yet with the sensibilities of the European wines that so moved him. He is as committed to crafting these elegant, nuanced wines as he is to building a legacy that will be passed down to his daughters in the great tradition of European winemakers whose estates have been in the same family for generations.
Composed of 100% Pinot Noir from Anderson Valley, it is bone-dry, vibrant, and refreshing. This peach-colored wine offers aromas and flavors of cherry blossoms, watermelon, and strawberry. Its bright acidity makes it all the more refreshing and a perfect complement for those warm days right around the corner.

Petit Cochon Bronze Rosé
Jean-Marie Rimbert, a native of Provence, arrived in the Languedoc nearly twenty-five years ago and managed the vineyards at Château de Flaugergues for five years until he saved up enough money to purchase his first parcels of gnarled ancient vine Carignan that had been nurtured in schist-laden soils for the better part of the last century.. From the beginning, his objective was to cultivate vineyards with the utmost respect for the environment and his wines reflect all of the natural beauty, depth and flavor originating from those vines. The wines Jean-Marie crafts are a passionate testament to this region's multi-dimensionality and ever-expanding potential.
This rosé is vibrant pink in the glass. Deep scents of ultra-ripe crushed red cherries, a note of guava paste, overripe fig flesh and a pretty, yet smoky note of sweet herbs. Blood Orange infused red berry flavors dominate the palate and are set-off by the wines generous minerality. Serve this summer wine with a spicy couscous and lamb tagine, flame grilled chicken dishes, spicy lamb or beef kebabs, sweet barbecued pork dishes. $14.00
2009 Domaine de la Cadette Bourgogne Blanc
In the village of Saint-Père, along a little creek to the southeast of Vézelay in Burgundy, a quiet, peaceful revolution is taking place. This part of Burgundy has been producing wines for centuries. Domaine de la Cadette now produces from thirteen hectares of land today, and has been farming organically since 1999, receiving their certification in 2002.
In this cooler climate, their vines enjoy great sun exposure, lending a balance between generous fruit and deep mineral structure.
"Their wines are a refreshing antithesis to a world of oaky, over-the-top, sloppy Chardonnays. The purity and finesse of a Vézelay Blanc provides a wine drinking experience that never gets old." - Kermit Lynch, Wine Importer

2012 Domaine de la Fouquette Rosé
We absolutely LOVE Rosé this time of year and tend to drink it all Summer long! We found this little gem of a Rosé a few years ago and are so excited each March when the cases starting showing up.
Provence, in France's southern region, is THE place for quality Rosé production and the 'Cuvée Rosée d'Aurore' is a wonderful example. This classic blend uses Grenache, Cinsault, and Rolle in delivering a light, crisp, and pleasant Rosé that smells of ripe peaches and tastes like liquid sunshine. Open a chilled bottle and enjoy while the Spring sun is shining down. Best enjoyed with linen clothes and a deep, dark Mediterranean tan. $18.00
