Tito's Handmade Vodka

Tito's Handmade Vodka is produced in Austin at Texas' first and oldest legal distillery. It's made in small batches in an old fashioned pot still by Tito Beveridge (actual name), a 40-something Geologist, and distilled six times.

Tito's Handmade Vodka is designed to be savored by spirit connoisseurs and everyday drinkers alike. It is microdistilled in an old-fashioned pot still, just like fine single malt scotches and high-end French cognacs. This time-honored method of distillation requires more skill and effort than modern column stills, but it's well worth it. $21.00

2011 The Prisoner

It's Back!

The Prisoner is an innovative red blend that takes its stylistic cue from the drinkable "mixed blacks" first made by Italian immigrants who originally settled the Napa Valley. In the late 90's there were a handful of Napa producers beginning to make this style of wine again and Dave Phinney became one of them. The blend soon began to incorporate not only Zinfandel, but also Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Petite Sirah, Charbono, and Grenache.

92 Points - Wine Spectator

"Deep, jammed with fruit character, this ripe version offers plenty of new oak, revealing a rich texture and zesty flavors of smoky licorice, blackberry cobbler and cracked pepper." -T.F.

Marlborough is the region that put the distinctive summery grassiness of the New Zealand style Sauvignon Blanc on the world map. Marlborough is Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc is Jules Taylor's obsession. She likes the unique expression of the region. She likes its vibrancy. She likes drinking it. And she loves making it. The Jules Taylor Sauvignon Blanc won the Champion Sauvignon Blanc trophy at the Air New Zealand wine awards in 2007, and again, in 2010.

The 2012 Sauvignon Blanc opens with a burst of bright citrus and the unmistakable aroma of capsicum. Elderflower and currant aromas are also present. It has a radiant light yellow hue, tinged with green and the dominant flavours are fresh and herbal layered over ripe tropical fruit & citrus notes. A fine line of acid ensures the flavours are focussed and leads to a delicate yet persistent finish with underlying mineral tones. $16.00

2012 Domaine de la Fouquette Rosé

We absolutely LOVE Rosé this time of year and tend to drink it all Summer long! We found this little gem of a Rosé a few years ago and are so excited each March when the cases starting showing up.

Provence, in France's southern region, is THE place for quality Rosé production and the 'Cuvée Rosée d'Aurore' is a wonderful example. This classic blend uses Grenache, Cinsault, and Rolle in delivering a light, crisp, and pleasant Rosé that smells of ripe peaches and tastes like liquid sunshine. Open a chilled bottle and enjoy while the Spring sun is shining down. Best enjoyed with linen clothes and a deep, dark Mediterranean tan. $18.00

2012 Charles & Charles Rosé

Yes, you can drink Rosé and still be bad ass!

Franco-American wine making team Charles Bieler and Charles Smith have collaborated in bringing you this fun and zippy Rosé from Washington State. The blend is comprised of Syrah, Mourvedre, Cinsault, and Grenache.

"The 2012 Rosé exhibits a beautiful pink color, tinged with a subtle salmon hue and coppered fuchsia edges. The aromas pop with wild strawberry, rose, cherry, subtle hibiscus and a touch of citrus, with underlying dried herb, crushed gravel and mineral tones. These bright fruit and savory flavors continue through the palate with great acidity that carries into the finish." $12.00

2009 Monchiero Langhe Nebbiolo

The Italian viticultural area known as the "Langhe" is situated in north-western Italy in the province of Piedmonte, at the foot of the Alps. It is here you will find some of Italy's most noble red wines made from the variety known as Nebbiolo. Nebbiolo (from the word 'nebbia', which means fog) is king of the Langhe and produces wines that are lightly colored, highly tannic, and which offer scents of tar and roses.

This Langhe Nebbiolo is a great entry to the category which includes Barolo, Barbaresco, Gattinara, and a few others. Although those wines fetch much higher prices, the Nebbiolo from Monchiero will offer an expression of Nebbiolo without breaking the bank.

Light, bright ruby red color. Straightforward fruity aromas of cherry, plum, strawberry, and red flowers. A bit more depth and grip than the light color and bouncy, fruity nose would lead you to expect. The acid is strong, and noticeable tannin makes this a very food-frinedly wine. Clingy flavors of dark cherry and some roasted herbal resin.

Try it with Venison, roasted meats, pasta with a strong meat sauce, beef casseroles, and salami. $15.99
